Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas will meet with Arsene Wenger for face-to-face talksto discuss his future at the club, according to the Guardian.

The 24-year-old is reportedly eager to seal a move to Barcelona this summer, but the Gunners are refusing to budge on a £40 million valuation.

Fabregas is expected to intimate to Wenger that he wishes to leave Arsenal, leaving the club in dire straits with six week to go until the season begins.

The Spaniard returned to training on Monday for a routine fitness test at Arsenal ahead of the resumption of pre-season training.

A bid of £27 million has reportedly already been rejected by Arsenal, but the Catalan side are expected to come in with an improved offer later this summer to help draft Fabregas back to the Nou Camp.
