Bradley Johnson is relishing a new challenge at Norwich City, with the midfielder keen to get some experience in the Barclays Premier League.

"I cannot wait to join up with the squad and meet everyone, get training and get a good pre-season under my belt,” Johnson said.

"I've dreamed of playing in the Premier League since I was young lad and I'm looking forward to the first game of the season, hopefully I'll be involved.

"I feel I've put in a lot of hard work to get there, coming up from the Ryman League now all the way to getting a chance in the Premier League. I just can't wait to get started. "

Norwich sealed a fantastic season in the npower Championship with a second place finish and automatic promotion into the Barclays Premier League.

Considering the fact that two seasons ago the club was in League One, the achievement has been particularly satisfying for the Canaries, who have been brilliantly guided to back-to-back promotions by Paul Lambert.

And Johnson believes that the hunger to succeed is still a very big part of the Norwich squad, as the side aim to stay in the top tier for the long term. "I know a few of the lads at the club already from my time in the lower leagues," Johnson said.

"I know they are as hungry as me and I'm sure that's just one of the reasons why they got back-to-back promotions.

"They proved they were a good team by getting that, and another deciding factor for me was to join a team that enjoys playing football, is hungry and has got that desire to succeed."
