Blackburn Rovers will confirm the signing of two players in the next fortnight, according to the club's owners Venky's.

As yet, Steve Kean's side have yet to bring in any new names following their final day heroics which saw them beat the drop to the Championship.

However, chairperson Anuradha Desai says the club will be venturing into the transfer market.

"We are in search of some good strikers and defenders and that will be finalised in the next two weeks," she told the Lancashire Telegraph.

"We are not running behind big names. Our selection would be a proper mix of young talent and senior players."

The club begin their pre-season preparations with a trip to an Austrian training camp, before returning to England for friendlies with Accrington Stanley and Morecambe.

Rovers then travel to Hong Kong to participate in the Barclays Asia Trophy alongside Chelsea and Aston Villa before ending their pre-season with a trip to Kilmarnock.
