Bradford manager Peter Jackson has added a sixth summer signing to his squad with the capture of former Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Patrick Lacey.
Lacey, 18, released by Wednesday at the end of last season, has signed a one-year contract at Valley Parade.
Jackson, who signed another teenager, Scott Brown, 24 hours earlier, said: "I've always said that we've needed a younger side and hopefully players like Paddy will be our future."
He added: "We think a lot about him and myself and the coaching staff think Sheffield Wednesday have made a bit of a mistake letting him go.
"He had offers to come to other clubs, but was with us for a few days last season - he seemed to enjoy it - and I think that swayed it in our favour.
"He's come back here for pre-season with the rest of the lads this summer and we still like what he's offering as a player."
