Wycombe striker Elliot Benyon has broken a bone in his hand and will undergo surgery next week to assess the full extent of the damage.

Benyon, 23, who joined Wycombe on a season-long loan from Swindon in June, sustained the injury when falling awkwardly during a session on Thursday.

Manager Gary Waddock said: "We can't put a timescale on the length of time he might be out of action just yet, but we hope to know more after the operation next week."
