West Ham co-owner David Gold has confirmed that Jack Collison will not be sold this summer despite interest from Stoke and West Brom.

The 22-year-old Wales international played down rumours that he could be on his way out of Upton park by publicly declaring he wants to stay and and help the Hammers push for promotion.

His current contract expires in 2013 but his representatives are working hard to secure a new deal for the midfielder.

And Gold said via Twitter: "Jack Collison is not for sale DG,"

He also confirmed that David Sullivan was hard at work to help bring in the eight new signings manager Sam Allardyce says he needs.

He said: "I am with DS (Sullivan) as we speak and I can promise that he and Sam are working on new signings 24 hrs a day."
