Huddersfield have signed winger Danny Ward from Bolton for an undisclosed fee.
The 20-year-old spent three months on loan at the Galpharm Stadium towards the end of the 2010/11 season but has now agreed a three-year contract to become a permanent fixture at the club.
Town boss Lee Clark said: "When the opportunity arose to bring Danny here permanently we quickly decided to try and move on it. Thankfully now we have agreed everything."
He added: "We know he can be a top player for many years to come. He's still very young, so he can develop even more.
"The big thing for me was that Danny and his agent came in and made it clear that he had loved his time here and wanted to come back."
The Bradford-born player was instrumental in the Terriers' League One promotion challenge, scoring four goals in ten starts and a penalty in the play-off semi-final shootout victory over Bournemouth.
