Inter Milan would consider a huge bid for star striker Samuel Eto'o, according to the player's agent.

The Cameroon forward has been subject of much speculation surrounding his future following Inter's inability to capture the Serie A title and their failure to reach the semi-final of the Champions League.

And with City expected to offload Carlos Tevez this summer Eto'o is seen as an ideal replacement, but only a huge offer will make them consider a deal.

The player's agent Claudio Vigorelli said: "At the moment Inter and Eto'o are happy with each other.

"That's the way things are unless something changes before the end of August.

"However, there's always a chance that Inter receive a big money offer for Samuel.

"I'm talking about a huge bid here — that hasn't happened just yet.

"Inter are not looking to cash in on him and he's not pushing for a transfer but you never know what happens in football."

City's wealthy owners, so far willing to bank role manager Roberto Mancini in the transfer market, are expected to have the funds to match any offer for Eto'o.

With City expected to receive at least £45 million for Tevez, the club should comfortably be able to afford Eto'o, as the club look to stay within FIFA's financial fair play regulations.
