New Accrington signing Kurtis Guthrie says signing for the club has rounded off "probably the best week and a half of my life".
The 18-year-old striker became Stanley's third signing of the summer after agreeing a one-year contract with the option to extend for a further year. He had previously been on trial at the Crown Ground, scoring twice in a friendly at Radcliffe last Wednesday and once more against Blackburn on Saturday.
"It's surreal to be here to be honest," he told the club's official website.
"Last week I was working and going through day-to-day life and I never thought this opportunity would come but the last week and a half has probably been the best week and a half of my life.
"The other night on my debut I scored two and then against Blackburn although we lost I scored against Paul Robinson who is an international keeper."
