New Blackpool recruit Gerardo Bruna is confident he can make his mark at Bloomfield Road this season following his arrival from Liverpool.

The 20-year-old Argentinian, who moved to Anfield from Real Madrid in the summer of 2007, was a regular for the Reds' second string but never made a first-team appearance. Now he is hoping to make the playmaker role his own at Blackpool as Ian Holloway's men seek to bounce back from last season's relegation.

"I love to play in the number 10 role and play in between the lines and play the final pass and score some goals," Bruna told the club's official website.

"I've spoken with the manager and with some hard work I'm confident I can play some games.

"It is a good squad here with a lot of good players and I can't wait to play with them on the pitch."
