Jay Emmanuel-Thomas' fledgling senior Arsenal career could be set to come to an end this summer, it has been claimed.

According to The Mirror, the 20-year-old has been touted around to a number of potential suitors, and will be allowed to leave north London for around £1 million.

Emmanuel-Thomas has been on the books at Arsenal since he was aged just seven, and became the Gunners' under-18 captain will still only 16.

He has, however, made just five appearances for the Arsenal first-team - only one of which came in the Barclays Premier League - and has spent spells on loan with Blackpool, Doncaster and, most recently, Cardiff.

And it would now appear that the Npower Championship could be his destination once more, with reports suggesting Arsenal have been sounding out potential buyers in the second-tier.

Meanwhile, Arsenal may have renewed hope of singing Valencia winger Juan Mata, after the Spanish club suggested the 23-year-old may be sold.

Arsenal have been linked with Mata for a number of months as Arsene Wenger looks to build a squad capable of finally ending a six-year trophyless streak.
