Thiago Silva has proven to be an inspired piece of business by Chelsea.The Brazilian stalwart was signed on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain last summer and he has been one of the Blues' most consistent performers throughout the 2020/21 season.Silva has made 29 appearances in all competitions, with his most recent coming in Chelsea's 2-0 victory in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final tie against Real Madrid.Like the rest of his colleagues, the 36-year-old excelled against Los Blancos and proved once again how important he is to Thomas Tuchel's playing style.After the game at Stamford Bridge, fans were understandably in a jubilant mood, celebrating the victory with the Chelsea players as they drove home from the stadium.A new video of supporters interacting with Silva while he was in his car has finally emerged on Twitter and it was certainly worth the wait.In the footage, the Brazilian's car is mobbed by fans and he responds by beeping his horn in a celebratory manner.Then one supporter lays down on the bonnet of his car, with Silva rather hilariously driving off slowly with the man still on his car.You can check out the video in full below.

Silva celebrates with Chelsea fans

It really was a party atmosphere outside Stamford Bridge after the team secured their place in the 2020/21 Champions League final.

After the game against Real Madrid, Silva waxed lyrical about Tuchel's impact since replacing Frank Lampard as manager back in January.

“It was a very difficult match, we suffered but we controlled the 2nd half well," Silva told RMC Sport, per GFFN. "Everything we said between each other, we succeeded in doing. Congratulations to everyone for this great performance.

"Tuchel has brought us a lot of things: to play well on the pitch, to remain calm. The players understood it well. To play football well, you have to enjoy it. They (the players) are very young.

"We sometimes make mistakes, we missed a lot of goals but I am very happy with my team."

The feel-good factor at the west London club continued on Saturday evening, as the Blues beat Manchester City 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium thanks to a stoppage-time winner from Marcos Alonso.

Silva was given a well-deserved rest for the game, so he decided to take on the role of a nervous supporter while at home.

His wife, Belle, uploaded a video of the defender looking rather stressed while watching the match to her official Instagram account.
