Sergio Aguero did not have a good day as Manchester City were beaten 2-1 by Chelsea on Saturday afternoon.Man City took the lead in the 44th minute courtesy of Raheem Sterling's strike.They had a golden opportunity to double their lead moments later when they were awarded a penalty.Referee Anthony Taylor pointed to the spot after Billy Gilmour fouled Gabriel Jesus inside the box.Aguero, who has suffered from numerous injuries this season, stepped up.The veteran forward looked confident and he had the audacity to produce a Panenka penalty.Unfortunately for him, he was left humiliated as Edouard Mendy stood his ground and easily gathered Aguero's strike.

Chelsea would go on to produce a second half fightback to win all three points.

Hakim Ziyech restored parity in the 63rd minute and Marcos Alonso's strike in stoppage time gave Chelsea the victory.

Aguero took to Twitter to apologise after the game.

"I would like to apologise to my teammates, staff and supporters for missing the penalty. It was a bad decision and I take full responsibility," he wrote.

Sterling saw his apology but he wasn't have any of it as he sent a classy response.

"Easy hermano. Only ourselves to blame today but we go again. Love bro," Sterling said.

That's great to see. Man City had the chance to clinch the Premier League title with victory but Sterling isn't putting any blame on his teammate at all.

City could still win the Premier League this weekend should their fierce rivals, Manchester United, lose to Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon.
