Harry Kane's future at Tottenham Hotspur is one of the Premier League's biggest talking points ahead of the summer transfer window.

The insatiable goal scorer is approaching a significant crossroad in his career, with Spurs' decline since Mauricio Pochettino's departure lending reason to suggest that he needs to leave north London in pursuit of silverware.

That's something Kane hasn't shied away from himself.

The England international picked up the Premier League Player of the Year award at the London Football Awards earlier this week and reaffirmed his desire to win trophies while speaking to Sky Sports

"When I look back at the end of my career, these are all the things I'll go over and take in a little bit more, but the goal right now as a player is to win team trophies.

"As much as this is great, I want to be winning the biggest team prizes. We're not quite doing that. It's bittersweet, but it is what it is. I'm proud to win [Premier League Player of the Year], it's been a good season on the pitch."

But where next for Kane in his pursuit of major honours?

A raft of clubs will certainly be interested in securing his signature, including La Liga giants Barcelona.

According to a recent report from Spanish media outlet Sport, Kane's entourage have already spoken with the four-time Champions League winners.

However, historically some English players have struggled to adapt to life in Spain and consequently no consensus has been reached on the 27-year-old amongst Barca's decision makers.

The news regarding Kane's interaction with Barca arrives little over 12 hours after it was suggested that he is willing to take decisive action to secure a move away from the club.

According to The Sun, Kane is expected to ask chairman Daniel Levy to consider offers for his services this summer, though a formal transfer request isn't thought to be on the cards at this stage.

Manchester United are reportedly weighing up a £90m bid but that falls well below Levy's £175m valuation of Spurs' crown jewel, while the divisive chairman is also insistent that he wouldn't sell to a direct Premier League rival.

The sharks are beginning to circle around Kane, but who will blink first in the race for arguably the hottest property on the planet right now?
