In recent years, the women’s tag team division on RAW and SmackDown has seen two singles stars come together and form a partnership. Current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Shayna Bazsler and Nia Jax are a prime example of this, with the pair both former RAW Women’s Champions in their own right.Another pair that has come together in the last few months is Naomi and Lana. The team has had reasonable success since forming, competing for the belts, but falling short so far.The WWE Universe has mixed feelings towards Lana, with some thinking she doesn’t have what it takes to be a serious in-ring Superstar. This is something Naomi disagrees with, especially since they became a team.Speaking on WWE’s The Bump, the two-time SmackDown Women’s Champion heaped high praise on Lana, calling her the hardest worker in the women’s division.“That’s another reason why I go hard for Lana, and I wanted her as my partner because I feel like there is no one in our division who works and is more driven than her,” she said.“Look, she’s legit. She doesn’t fly home. Instead, she stays in Tampa and trains and trains even to the point that I have to tell her she needs to take a break. This is how committed she is. I don’t think people get to see that side of her as much.”The Ravishing Russian was introduced to fans as a valet, before making the switch to a full-time in-ring performer. Naomi went on to say how she wants to remain Lana’s tag partner until her dedication is rewarded.“It’s so special. I feel like it’s been a long time coming,” she emphasised.“She’s been wanting to wrestle and be a fighter in this division for so long, and I’ve always encouraged her to do that.“Now that she’s actually doing it here and she’s killing it and seeing her progress week by week, I’m going to stay with her until this pays off.”
