3rd - Southampton vs Arsenal | August 23

Bergkamp picks up the ball just inside Southampton's half and charged towards the opposition goal.

He beat a defender with some quick feet before producing a cool finish. A fine solo effort.

2nd - Leicester vs Arsenal | August 27

Bergkamp was brilliant in the air but he decided to go short for a corner.

He picked up the ball just outside the box, took a touch and then curled the ball into the top corner. Exquisite stuff.

One of the greatest goals of Bergkamp's ridiculous career.

The Dutchman produced three ridiculous touches before finishing past the goalkeeper.

It was later voted goal of the season and rightly so.

Bergkamp would declare the goal the best of his career.

“It was one of those occasions when everything went exactly as I planned it in the second before it happened – the movement, the control, the finish”, the Dutchman told the Independent in 2009.

To this day, Bergkamp remains the only player in Premier League history that has finished first, second and third in the same Goal of the Month competition.
