Chelsea forward Salomon Kalou has set his sights on the treble next season, and is determined to fight tooth and nail to achieve his objectives.
The 25-year-old Ivorian has to compete with some of the Barclays Premier League's most expensive and high scoring strikers for a part in Andre Villas-Boas' plans, but believes he is ready for the challenge.
Kalou has found a niche as an impact sub in recent seasons, and the majority of his 13 goals last term we scored after he came off the bench. And, naturally, Kalou thinks he has what it takes to claim a regular staring berth, and is game for the fight when the new campaign kicks off.
"I like to have a challenge, it is part of the game and when you play in a big club like Chelsea, of course, we will get challenged," he said.
"Everybody has to fight to play and I am ready to fight."
Kalou praised new manager Villas-Boas who will have to choose between Fernando Torres, Nicolas Anelka, Didier Drogba, and upstart Daniel Sturridge who has found the net in pre-season.
"The new manager has been very good, it is just the beginning, we have been training very hard and I and my colleagues will give everything to ensure we have a great season," he added.
"It’s going to be really competitive and we [are] looking [forward] to win back the Premier League, the FA Cup and possibly win the Champions League for the first time.
"It won't be easy, but we know we have the team and players to go back and win the trophy so we are confident about it.
"This season will be a great season for Chelsea, because this will maybe be the last opportunity for us to win the Champions League or to win more prizes together.
"The desire and hunger is still there. We have good professionals in the team, good experience and people are hungry to win because, it was not so good for everyone at Chelsea last season."
Chelsea's first chance at silverware arrives on Saturday as the Blues take on Aston Villa in the Asia Trophy.
