Leicester defender Lee Peltier faces a fortnight on the sidelines with a groin injury.
The 24-year-old was taken off during Saturday's opening-day victory against Midlands rivals Coventry, where he scored the winning goal on his debut.
"The physio thought one to two weeks out, which isn't good - but that's it," City manager Sven-Goran Eriksson told the club's official website. "Overall we have been lucky with injuries so we shouldn't complain.
"I know he has scored some goals but that is not what he is famous for.
"We have worked on set-pieces very much and he has scored from one which is important."
Peltier, signed from League One Huddersfield, is one of 10 new arrivals at the King Power Stadium this summer as Leicester look to justify their tag as one of the favourites for promotion to the Premier League.
