Arsenal are being linked with a summer move for CSKA Moscow midfielder Alan Dzagoev.

The Russian international playmaker has emerged on the Emirates radar amidst reports Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri are on the verge of leaving the club this month.

Reports in The Daily Star claim Arsenal have sent scouts to watch the 21-year-old twice, with members of the Gunners staff in attendance when CSKA played Zenit St. Petersburg and again during Russia's friendly against Serbia last night.

Described as a 'Russian prodigy' in the report, the paper goes on to claim that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is weighing up a £12 million bid for the player.

“I’ve heard that Fiorentina want me to come to Italy but this is the first time I’ve heard of interest from Arsenal,” Dzagoev is reported as saying.

He would join compatriot Andrey Arshavin in North London should the Gunners make a move for the player, with the 30-year-old committing himself to Wenger's side yesterday amidst speculation of a move away from the club.

“This season I will be at Arsenal," said the playmaker.

“I’ve always said that I’m playing where I want – in a top European club.”
