Hearts have been boosted by the return to fitness of David Obua and Andy Webster, while Eggert Jonsson and Arvydas Novikovas are also in contention.

Mehdi Taouil will miss the first leg at Tynecastle.

Tottenham have a host of injury problems ahead of the trip to Scotland, with the centre of Spurs' midfield desiccated by injury.

The young pair of Jake Livermore and Danny Rose are set to start in midfield, while Rafael van der Vaart may also be available after recovering from an ankle injury.

Redknapp cautious ahead of Euro tie

Despite a host of injuries to the north London outfit, Hearts manager Paulo Sergio is hoping that Tottenham Hotspur are able to field as strong a side as possible in the first leg of the Europa League play-off at Tynecastle.

A host of injuries, particularly to Spurs' midfield means the likes of Danny Rose and Jake Livermore take their place in a makeshift line up.

But Sergio wants his Hearts side tested to the limit, and hopes the extra interest around the fixture inspires his side to victory.

"We want to compete with the best," he said. "We want to test ourselves and I hope we can do that tomorrow. They have a few players who are injured, as do we, but maybe we would feel the loss of our injured players a bit more than Tottenham given the squad they have.

"For these types of games, we have double the number of press, the media are everywhere, the stadium will hopefully be full, so there is a little bit of hype around it.

"We don't listen to it. We are focussed on our job and on what we have to do."

Meanwhile Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is hopeful his side can rise to the occasion in their first game of the season.

After their Barclays Premier League opener against Everton was postponed, Spurs go into the tie undercooked, compared to their Scottish rivals, who have already faced four fixtures this season.

And Redknapp insists his side won't underestimate their 1st round opponents.

"It will be a tough game, a very tough game. They are not a bad side and it will be a difficult place to go, an intimidating atmosphere, a full house. It will be a good test for us," he said.

"It will be a tight game and I think we face two tough games, they will both be competitive."
