Leeds boosted in African defender chase – report

Leeds defender target Magnus Okuong is set to leave Colchester, with the Nigerian refusing a contract extension at the League One club, according to the Daily Mirror.

Okuonghae has played for seven clubs in the last 10 years, and his most recent spell at Colchester brought 62 appearances and 2 goals.


Leeds have reportedly shown interest in the 25-year-old, along with fellow npower Championship club Hull.

Should Okuong join Leeds this summer, he will be the tenth fresh face at the Yorkshire club. Leeds have so far signed a host of players including Andy Keogh, Michael Brown, Paul Rachubka and Darren O’Dea.
