Arsenal aim to upset odds

Football News

There is a huge game on Sunday as Man Utd and Arsenal meet in the key football betting heat of the week at Old Trafford.

The champions are in inspired form at present with victories over West Brom and Tottenham following their comeback Community Shield win over their neighbours City.

Arsenal on the other hand have had a dreadful fortnight with Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri leaving the club and a disappointing draw against Newcastle was followed by an Emirates loss to Liverpool.

Things did perk up on Wednesday night though as they surged through to the Champions League group stage after an excellent win over Udinese in Italy.

The odds on Sunday’s match are extraordinary due to the fact that Arsenal as big as 21/4 (just over 5/1) to win the match while Manchester United are just 9/20 to triumph. It’s hard to remember such differing football betting prices in this fixture. Can Arsenal create a massive soccer betting shock and take the three points?

If you’re taking a look at the stats it’s unlikely that many people will be including Arsenal in their football tips this weekend.

Man Utd have won 6 of the last 8 of these fixtures in all competitions while you have to go back to September 2006 to find the last time Arsenal won at Old Trafford. That’s certainly not encouraging reading if you’re backing Arsenal this weekend.

Whatever happens make sure you place your bet here at Sportingbet. As usual we’ll be betting in:play during the 90 minutes of the match so there are plenty opportunities to make profit.
