Blackpool boss Ian Holloway is keen to bolster his promotion-chasing squad before the transfer window closes.

The Seasiders endured an agonising relegation from the Barclays Premier League on the final day of last season.

But Holloway is determined to see them challenge for an immediate return to the top flight and is keen to add more attacking threat to his squad, saying: "Let's see if we can add someone and get the right sort of character and person here."

He added: "Whether it be loan signings or real signings, who knows and who cares.

"It's about bringing the right people and if you look at the people we've managed to borrow on loan in my first season in the Championship then they were all pretty successful.

"I need to do that again."
