Manchester United defender target Neven Subotic is set to garner a deal to join the cub in 2012, according to Serbian news source Blic.
Sir Alex Ferguson is said to have made the vast majority of his moves already in the transfer window, and with a wildly successful start to the season behind him, the manager is looking towards setting long term goals.
Subotic has long been a target for United, but speculation surrounding the 22-year-old cooled when defenders Phil Jones and Chris Smalling made successful starts to the season.
Ferguson is still said to be keen on Subotic, reports suggest, and the United manager wants to make a move for the young star at the beginning of next year.
Ferguson has had a particularly successful summer, signing young goalkeeping sensation David de Gea, along with stars Ashley Young and Phil Jones.
A midfield signing is still said to be on the cards for Manchester United over the next couple of days, with Wesley Sneijder still leading the front for a possible deal to head to Old Trafford.
