Welsh international Craig Bellamy could be set to start striking for QPR, according to Sky Sports, as transfer interest for the player intensifies.

Craig Bellamy is low on Roberto Mancini's priorities and the Manchester City manager needs to slim down his squad.

The 32-year-old was loaned out to his home town of Cardiff City last year and is free to move on

The major obstacle to a move is Bellamy's high wages, but QPR's new owner Tony Fernandes is ready to fund transfers before this summer's window closes.

The Welshman has also been linked with Liverpool, where he played for one year between 2006 and 2007.
