Millwall have confirmed the permanent signing of on-loan Leicester City midfielder Dany N'Guessan on a three-year deal.

The 23-year-old winger, who joins the Lions for an undisclosed fee from the Npower Championship promotion favourites, made a promising start to his career at the New Den, with a goal on his debut against Plymouth in the Carling Cup, and followed that up with an impressive cameo role against Nottingham Forest.

N'Guessan's good early season form has been hampered by a hamstring injury suffered in that game against Forest, but his performances have done enough to persuade manager Kenny Jackett to offer him a full-time contract.

"I'm very pleased to have joined the team because I have enjoyed it here so far," said N'Guessan. "The manager has shown faith in me and I think I can do well here. I hope to do that and help Millwall up the table.

"I was very pleased with my start here and I hope to pick up where I left off. I have already scored one goal and hopefully there are more coming. I want to score as many as I can. I want to do well in every game I play."

The opportunity to build on his positive start in south-east London has come as a welcome boost for the young Frenchman, with N'Guessan's confidence and ambition for the season ahead clear to see.

"I think we have a great squad and there is a really good atmosphere within the group," he continued. "There are no big players on big money.

"The focus is on having a good team with a strong spirit and that will help a lot with what we want to do. I really think we can do something this season."
