Stevenage boss Graham Westley could include new signings Josh Walker and Don Cowan in his squad for the visit of Rochdale.

Boro have signed midfielder Walker on loan from Watford until January, while striker Cowan completed a move to Broadhall Way from Irish First Division side Longford just moments before the transfer window closed on Wednesday night.

Westley has just one fresh injury concern following the defeat to MK Dons last weekend. Scott Laird was forced off midway through the first half at stadium:mk with a knock and it remains to be seen if the defender will be fit.

Midfielders Jennison Myrie-Williams and Michael Thalassitis and forwards Chris Beardsley and Ben May are options for Westley should he wish to make changes.

Rochdale's squad has been boosted by two loan signings ahead of the trip.

David Ball has been brought in on a three-month loan from npower Championship side Peterborough to bolster Dale's attacking options.

And midfielder Ahmed Benali has penned a season-long loan deal from Manchester City.

Both players will be pushing for place in the starting line-up at Broadhall Way.

Matthew Barnes-Homer came off the bench for his debut in the 3-1 defeat against Hartlepool and boss David Eyre could hand the former Luton striker a start as he looks for more potency in front of goal.

"We need to improve in both penalty areas," Eyre said after the loss to Pools, their first home defeat of the season.
