Arsenal are once again looking to raid Barcelona for promising youth talent, according to reports.

TalkSPORT claim that clubs across Europe are 'circling' Gerard Deulofeu, likened to Argentine superstar Lionel Messi, with Arsenal one of the clubs unsurprisingly keen on the player's services.

Chelsea are also thought to be keen on a move for the 17-year-old, who is restricted from signing a professional contract until his 18th birthday in March.

Deulofeu's current youth deal contains a £3 million release clause, but the La Liga giants are reportedly preparing terms on a senior deal to avoid the possibility of losing the player.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has history of raiding the Nou Camp for promising young talent, with Cesc Fabregas the most high-profile addition to the ranks at the Emirates during the reign of the Frenchman.

Jon Toral and Hector Bellerin made similar moves to the Gunners in May, and Arsenal already appear to be steps towards a move for the player after chief scout Steve Rowley watched the player represent Spain in the U19 European Championships.

Arsenal are yet to confirm their interest.
