Arsenal teenager Benik Afobe is hoping to realise his ambition of making a senior bow at the Emirates Stadium, after returning from a loan spell with Huddersfield Town.
The young striker scored eight times for the Terriers last season, and has since been told by Arsene Wenger that he will now further his football education back in north London.
That is positive news as far as Afobe is concerned, and he now his sights set on playing alongside Robin Van Persie in the Arsenal first-team.
"When I first came back from the summer holidays I was thinking that I would be maybe going out on loan but the boss and reserve team manager Neil Banfield have both told me they think it would be better for me to stay and keep improving aspects of my game," he told the official Arsenal website.
"Obviously we know that the boss likes playing youth players and he likes to give the youngsters a chance if you are good enough to play.
He added: "That's what I have always been dreaming about, to play in the first team with the likes of [Robin] van Persie and the rest of the squad."
The 18-year-old was part of the England squad that won the U-17 European Championship in 2010 - the same summer he signed professional terms with Arsenal.
