Morecambe boss Jim Bentley is hoping to have skipper Will Haining available for the visit of Crawley.

The defender missed last weekend`s 1-1 draw with Bradford after sustaining a knock in the recent 2-0 win at Northampton.

He will now hope to be passed fit, but midfielder Andy Fleming is definitely available again after coming through a reserve-team game in midweek.

Striker Jason Price is available for the first time after signing last Saturday, while the only long-term injury is Paul Scott.

The 34-year-old has signed a four-month deal after his contract with Barnet expired and is determined to make his mark at the Globe Arena, saying: "I`ve heard a lot of good things about Jim Bentley."

Crawley will be without defenders Dean Howell and John Dempster.

Howell is set to be sidelined for a fortnight with a calf problem and Dempster has a tight hamstring which rules him out this weekend.

Boss Steve Evans has drafted in Peterborough defender Scott Griffiths on a month's loan as cover.

Midfielders Scott Neilson and Dannie Bulman need late fitness tests but Town are hopeful they will be fit.

Neilson has been laid up for the past few days with a sickness bug but was back in training on Thursday morning while Bulman suffered a hip injury against Southend in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

Club captain Pablo Mills (ankle) and fellow defender Jamie Day (back) are still out.
