Injury-hit Leyton Orient have signed Huddersfield midfielder Tom Clarke on loan.

The 23-year-old has agreed a move to Brisbane Road until December 10 and should make his debut at Colchester on Saturday.

"Tom has played a part in getting Huddersfield to the play-offs in this division so we are pleased to get him down here and into our squad," Os boss Russell Slade told the club's official website.

"We've signed him for the maximum 93-day period so there is some longevity there and that's important too.

"Tom can play in midfield or as a defender too, but it's in midfield that we'll be looking to use him initially."

Slade has been rocked by injuries to Stephen Dawson, Elliot Omozusi and Jonathan Tehoue this week, while youngster Michael Richardson has gone back to Newcastle at the end of his loan spell.
