Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed that he would consider a move away from Real Madrid if the side win the Champions League this season, with the striker mentioning Portugal as a possible destination alongside England.

“The Champions League is the best competition out there and everyone wants to win it as it’s the most difficult of all,” Ronaldo said.

“This year will be as complicated as ever but we will fight to win it with all our might. After that, we will see what happens.

“I am still not finished in the world of football. I am Portuguese and I love my land and people but I am not sure if I will finish my career there.

“I never close the doors to any league or any club but for now I am happy in Madrid. In the future, you never know.”

This week Ronaldo excited Manchester United fans by saying there was a possibility that he may make a return to the English giants at some point in his career.

Sir Alex Ferguson also recently said that during his time managing United, Ronaldo was one of the toughest players he’s ever worked with.

And should Madrid win the Champions League this season, United will no doubt be involved in at least talk over a move for the superstar.
