When will eFootball be released?

Konami have officially announced that their flagship football game will be launching into the gaming world on 30th September 2021, just two days before EA's FIFA 22 drops.

This is interesting timing, to say the least, and it's hard to argue that this isn't a tactical decision by the Japanese developers to place their game ahead of its biggest rivals.

With the game being free-to-play, downloads can be made on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC (via Steam), PS4 and Xbox One. However, it has not been confirmed how far in advance players will be able to do this.

With nine officially licensed teams currently under eFootball's belt, it will be interesting to see how it compares to FIFA 22 this year and if their new approach to gaming will see them come out on top.

So, gamers. What are your overall thoughts on eFootball 2022? How do you like the look of it? Do you think it will be a success? Should EA be worried? Or will FIFA 22 still triumph over their Japanese rivals despite their switch of business models in this sector? Get in touch and let us know what you think!
