Hannover striker Mohammed Abdellaoue is reportedly being tracked by Arsenal, as the north London club begin to make early plans for the January transfer window.
According to Metro, the Gunners have sent scouts to run the rule over Abdellaoue, who has scored three goals in four Bundesliga appearances this term.
Despite reinforcing his Arsenal strikeforce with Gervinho and Park Chu-Young during the summer, Arsene Wenger is said to be keen to further bolster his frontline.
This appears to have led the Arsenal boss to Norway international Abdellaoue, although Sunderland are also said to have an interest in acquiring his services.
The Black Cats currently have Nicklas Bendtner on loan from Arsenal, but Steve Bruce needs another forward after Danny Welbeck returned to Manchester United and Asamoah Gyan joined Al-Ain for the remainder of the season.
Arsenal, meanwhile, are also alleged to be pursuing PSV Eindhoven's Ola Toivonen.
