Luis Nani has fired a warning at Benfica, with the Portuguese international telling the side that they should expect a Manchester United squad high in confidence and ability in their first Champions League group stage match tomorrow night.

United have scored 18 goals in their opening four matches this season, and after getting to the final of the Champions League last season, the Red Devils are keen to show their intentions in the opening match of the competition.

And with the match up with Benfica, and upcoming games against fellow Group C sides Basle and SC Otelul Galati, Nani believes that United are able to face up to any difficult opposition with a maximum will to win.

"Benfica are a better team than the one we have faced in the Champions League over the last few years,” Nani said.

"But we are on an excellent run of form too with four wins in four games this season.

"We are prepared to overcome all the difficulties that we could face in Lisbon. We want to start off the group in the best possible way and come away with a victory."

And with star strikers Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez coming into top form, after the pair scored five goals between them against Bolton on Saturday, United look to be almost unstoppable at the moment.

After returning from Portugal, United take on title contenders Chelsea in the Barclays Premier League, and will be using their confidence to show their rivals that the Red Devils mean business.
