Frank Lampard is a shock target for Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala, according to Metro, with the Chelsea midfielder reportedly considering a big-money move to the club.

Samuel Eto’o recently singed for the Russian giants for a world record wage last summer, and Anzhi's billionaire owner Suleyman Kerimov wants to add more big names to the squad.

Lampard is now 33-years-old, and is starting to wind down his career for both Chelsea and England. And like Eto’o, he might consider taking a huge payment for his final season.

And while Anzhi are said to be preparing a contract for the Chelsea star worth £13 million a season, it would still be difficult to coax Lampard into leaving Stamford Bridge, with the midfielder already having made millions of dollars playing football and possibly wanting to end his career at Chelsea.

Fabio Capello is only reportedly being considered for a management position at the Russian club, and if so, Lampard could be reunited with his country manager once more.
