Manchester United summer signing Ashley Young admits he's enjoying life at Old Trafford, and is settling into life well alongside his new teammates.
The England international joined the Red Devils from Aston Villa in the early stages of the transfer window, and is now happy to get some games under his belt under Sir Alex ferguson.
"I feel really good, obviously I've signed for a massive club and I just want to get into the games now," the winger told #5 magazine.
When asked if there were any nerves when taking to the club's training ground for the first time, he added: "I wasn't too bad actually, I knew some of the boys from England so I just wanted to get back on the training ground, get into pre-season and get to know the boys."
Renowned for having a few jokers in the pack, Young admits he had to bide his time before getting involved in some of the pranks that footballers often thrive on.
"Yeah there's quite a few," he said in relation to the club's pranksters.
"Rio (Ferdinand) is definitely one, Patrice Evera, Nani, Ando (Anderson). There's quite a few within the squad. I'm quite a joker myself but I've got to take my time first."
Young also revealed an aspiration to emulate Argentine superstar Lionel Messi, saying he'd be the Barcelona star for a day if he had the chance. On a more realistic level, he hopes to emulate the player in winning a vast array of medals whilst playing for the Red Devils.
"Being a winger, one day I'd like to be Lionel Messi. I think he's the best in the world at what he does, and throughout his career what he's done so far, he's definitely someone I'd like to be like. If I can win as many honours as he's got with Manchester United, then I'd be delighted."
Young was answering questions as part of the Players Lounge feature in issue 8 of #5 magazine.
