Juventus manager Antonio Conte has ruled out the possibility of making a move for Theo Walcott, following claims the Italian giants are monitoring the Arsenal winger.

Reports in Turin have suggested Juve are keen on the 22-year-old, along with Manchester United midfielder Luis Nani and Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez.

But Conte says Juve simply cannot afford the fees Arsenal et al would demand before considering selling their prized assets.

"We could not get Walcott, Nani or Tevez because of the finances involved," he explained. "Clubs in Italy cannot afford such prices, so we focused on young players.

"But if we can work something out with our budget, then maybe there is a possibility."

Walcott, meanwhile, will not feature for Arsenal against Olympiakos on Wednesday after suffering a knee injury against Bolton at the weekend.

However, Arsene Wenger has confirmed the problem is not as bad as originally feared.

The Arsenal boss said: "Walcott is not fit, he has a minor knee problem. He got a kick, but there is no damage in the knee."
