Joe Cole has hailed Eden Hazard as the best young player he has seen, following his season-long loan move from Liverpool to Lille.

The 29-year-old has been in the thick of the action since his move to France, and has already struck up an eye-catching on-field relationship with Hazard.

Aged just 20, Hazard is understood to be on the respective radars of Liverpool, Arsenal and Real Madrid, and is unlikely to stay in Ligue 1 for too much longer.

And Cole, who was already aware of the talents of Hazard prior to his move to the Stade Lille Metropole, has tipped the young midfielder to fulfil his potential.

"Everyone is talking about him in England. Hazard is the best young player I have ever seen at such an age," the Liverpool midfielder told L'Equipe.

"He has everything to become one of the best players in the world."

Cole, meanwhile, says he would be open to a permanent move from Liverpool to Lille.

He added: "Will I remain at Lille next season? That is possible. They are happy with me, and vice versa, so why not?"
