Ander Herrera is still being chased by Tottenham, despite the midfielder insisting he is ignoring the rumours surrounding a move away from Athletic Bilbao, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Two days ago Herrera insisted he was concentrating on getting to full match fitness, and wouldn’t be listening to rumours over a possible January exit.

But Tottenham have continued to track the 22-year-old, and Harry Redknapp has reportedly made the youngster one of his top priorities for the next transfer window.

Tottenham have had a mixed start to the season so far, and while big signings Scott Parker and Emmanuel Adebayor have been assets for the north London club, Redknapp is still keen to make the squad bigger as the end of the season comes around and the club look to shore up Champions League qualification.

Herrera would certainly be another coup for Tottenham, with the Spaniard featuring for the national Under-21 side and in his few appearances for Bilbao so far.
