Tottenham Hotspur face competition from AC Milan in the race to sign Rodrigo Palacio.

The Argentine international has been earning rave reviews in Serie 'A' with Genoa, leading to interest from a number of clubs across Europe.

Harry Redknapp is one of the managers thought to be keen on the player, according to talkSPORT, with the Spurs boss taking note of the 29-year-old after his four goals in four starts this term.

Tottenham Hotspur were linked with a handful of strikers in the summer transfer window, but failed to secure the services of any of their targets in the attacking positions after a disappointing deadline day at White Hart Lane.

A former Boca Juniors star, Palacio would cost Spurs in the region of £9 million were they to bring the player to north London.

However, Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri is unlikely to let the player join Tottenham Hotspur without a fight.
