Joe Cole has admitted that he would consider making his move to Lille permanent, with the playmaker currently starring for the French outfit on loan from Liverpool.

Cole made the move to Lille on deadline day, and scored his first goal for the side on the 24th September.

And the England international, who made only 20 appearances for Liverpool since signing with the club in 2010, says he is enjoying his time at Lille.

"I could join Lille permanently," he said.

"If they are happy with me, and vice versa, I don't see why not.”

The Liverpool man added: "Lille have quality players and there's an unbeatable mood in the dressing room. I benefit from it every day and I am enjoying myself.

"There is a superb team spirit at the club. I love playing here."

Liverpool will no doubt consider offloading Cole to make way for other expenses at the club, with the 29-year-old clearly not figuring in Kenny Dalglish’s plans.
