Lorient manager Chrisitan Gourcuff has praised the talent of Arsenal youngster Joel Campbell after the 19-year-old scored on his first start for the club this weekend.

Campbell helped maintain the Ligue 1 side's unbeaten start to the season with a 23rd minute volley after Monnet-Pacquet's cross.

Campbell joined Arsenal in the summer, but after failing to attain a work permit, went on loan to France to gain some valuable experience of European football.


Of the Arsenal loanee, manager Gourcuff said: "'a cocktail of talent and generosity'

Arsenal are currently up against it in the Barclays Premier League after their third defeat of the season against Tottenham Hotspur, the club will be hoping that a work permit for Campbell can be successfully applied for next summer.
