Jake Paul has never been one to steer clear of controversy, and in his latest outlandish comments, he has claimed that legendary boxer Floyd Mayweather hired people to kill him during his time in Miami.

Beef between the two was sparked after events during the build up to the exhibition fight between Mayweather and Jake’s brother, Logan.

In a behind-the-scenes moment, Jake confronted Mayweather before snatching his hat and taunting him by shouting “gotcha hat.”

This sparked fights between the two entourages. Jake trolled Money Mayweather further by getting the phrase ‘gotcha hat’ tattooed on his leg.

Jake was a guest on the popular NELK Boys podcast when he made the sensational suggestions of Mayweather’s plot.

He said:

"He was trying to get me killed behind the scenes, for sure. He was calling, like, 'the gangsters,' because we were in Miami at the time. He was, like, calling the 'street people,' because my security is tapped into the street people."

Jake seemed convinced his life was in danger and added: "They were like, 'Yo, you guys gotta be f**king careful. He's trying to do something. So, whatever the f**k that meant, or means... I was like, 'Alright, if this is how I die, this is how I die.'"

It’s difficult to take Jake’s comments seriously. His fame was built around gaining attention via controversy, trolling, and public spats with other online celebrities.

And while Jake may be trying to coax Mayweather into the ring with him, his next fight is looking like a grudge match with Tommy ‘TNT’ Fury.

The pair got into a war of words after Tommy fought on the Jake Paul V Tyron Woodley undercard. Jake has since said: "I think Tommy Fury is at the top of that list.

"He's skilled, he's undefeated and he's a real boxer. He has like 4million followers on Instagram, which is good engagement. He has the fans from like his relationship show [Love Island]."

Tommy, the half-brother of heavyweight champ Tyson Fury, should prove to be Jake’s most formidable opponent yet.

He's a genuine boxer and at 22 he is of equal age, as well as being of similar height, weight, and stature.
