Cristiano Ronaldo is back in the Premier League with a bang.

The Portuguese superstar made his second debut for Manchester United on Saturday versus Newcastle and it was like he never left.

Ronaldo opened the scoring for the Red Devils just before half-time at Old Trafford, the 36-year-old capitalising on a horrendous error from Freddie Woodman, who spilled Mason Greenwood's shot on goal.

Newcastle reacted very well to the United man's close-range strike, though.

Steve Bruce's side grabbed an unexpected equaliser in the 56th-minute through Javier Manquillo, the full-back finishing off a brilliant counterattack by the visiting team.

But that just awoke the beast that is Ronaldo, with the former Real Madrid man scoring his second of the day just six minutes later.

The leading scorer in men's international football was played in on goal by Luke Shaw and after turning on the afterburners, the striker fired the ball through Woodman's legs and into the back of the net.

He's certainly still got it...

Bruno Fernandes then pretty much made sure of the three points shortly before the end of the game with an absolute rocket to make it 3-1 on the day.

And in stoppage-time, the forgotten man Jesse Lingard scored to secure a 4-1 victory for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team.

Not a bad day for United, eh?

The noise inside Old Trafford throughout the course of the game was absolutely amazing and the feel-good factor surrounding the club is not going away anytime soon.

Ronaldo will make his second Champions League debut for the Red Devils next Tuesday against Young Boys, before a trip to West Ham United a few days later.
