Borussia Dortmund's Jude Bellingham caught a beer while celebrating on Haaland's back

Bayer Leverkusen versus Borussia Dortmund on Saturday afternoon was an absolute corker.

To be honest, that's not really doing the match full justice, because it was one of the best league games in years.

Dortmund were the team that eventually prevailed by a scoreline of 4-3, with star striker Erling Braut Haaland netting a late penalty to seal victory.

Leverkusen took the lead in just the sixth-minute through teenage sensation Florian Wirtz, before Haaland equalised shortly before the break.

But Euro 2020 star Patrik Schick made sure that Dortmund were behind at the interval, the Czech Republic striker scoring in first half stoppage-time to put the home side 2-1 ahead.

The visitors then levelled the scores again just four minutes into the second half through Julian Brandt, with Moussa Diaby striking a short while later to hand Leverkusen their lead back.

Raphael Guerriero then netted Dortmund's third equaliser of the day in the 71st-minute with a wonderful free-kick, which paved the way for Haaland to steal the show as he always does.

The Norwegian superstar stepped up from 12 yards six minutes later and fired his penalty past Leverkusen goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky.

It was a wonderful moment for Dortmund fans and Haaland's successful penalty also resulted in an iconic celebration.

The striker ran over to the Leverkusen end after scoring and that meant cups of beer were thrown in his direction.

Jude Bellingham jumped onto Haaland's back while the objects were hurled onto the pitch and somehow, the England international managed to catch one.

Like Rice and Jack Grealish did versus Hungary during the international break, Dortmund's 18-year-old midfielder pretended to take a swig from the cup before throwing it to the ground.

Well played, Jude.

Dortmund's victory over Leverkusen means they're now third in the Bundesliga table and it will also result in them going into their Champions League opener versus Besiktas next Wednesday full of confidence.
