Man United fans were buzzing during Cristiano Ronaldo’s interview after 4-1 win vs Newcastle

Manchester United fans are buzzing after watching Cristiano Ronaldo inspire the Red Devils to a 4-1 victory over Newcastle on Saturday afternoon.

The 36-year-old marked his second United debut with a brace, 12 years after the end of his first spell at Old Trafford.

Bruno Fernandes and Jesse Lingard also got themselves on the scoresheet as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side moved to the top of the Premier League table.

Thousands of United fans stayed behind after the final whistle hoping to catch another glimpse of their hero.

And they were delighted when the five-time Ballon d’Or winner emerged to conduct a post-match interview.

Throughout his interview, United’s jubilant fans were chanting “Viva Ronaldo!” in unison.

Supporters were also shouting “SIUUU!” in reference to Ronaldo’s famous celebration, which he performed at Old Trafford for the first time after scoring his two goals.

Ronaldo admitted he was “very nervous” prior to the match, even though he didn’t show it…

He went on to say that he wants to make the fans proud and says England’s top division is the “most special” league in the world…

On potentially winning the Premier League and Champions League, Ronaldo said the team “needs to be mature” and “build up confidence”…

Fans were even chanting “Viva Ronaldo!” during Solskjaer’s post-match interview…

And the celebratory scenes continued outside Old Trafford…

There’s a long way to go between now and the end of the season, but United must surely be considered genuine title contenders with Ronaldo in their ranks.

Even at 36, he remains a match-winner and one of the world’s deadliest forwards.
