He went on to say that he wants to make the fans proud and says England’s top division is the “most special” league in the world…

On potentially winning the Premier League and Champions League, Ronaldo said the team “needs to be mature” and “build up confidence”…

Fans were even chanting “Viva Ronaldo!” during Solskjaer’s post-match interview…

And the celebratory scenes continued outside Old Trafford…

There’s a long way to go between now and the end of the season, but United must surely be considered genuine title contenders with Ronaldo in their ranks.

Even at 36, he remains a match-winner and one of the world’s deadliest forwards.
