Vitor Belfort expectedly defeated Evander Holyfield in their fight on Saturday night, but the way he won will certainly sadden several of the latter's fans.

The Real Deal is among the greatest boxers of all time and has had an illustrious career, during which, he was a four-time world heavyweight champion, being the only one to do so.

Holyfield is also the only boxer to be the undisputed champion in two weight divisions.

He retired in 2014, but made a return to the ring this year. Holyfield was initially scheduled to fight Kevin McBride on June 5 but that did not happen. He later replaced Oscar De La Hoya to take on Belfort.

However, the Brazilian won the fight via technical knockout in the first round itself. The 44-year-old was completely brutal towards the end of the bout, forcing the referee to intervene and save the 58-year-old from further punishment.

Belfort can be seen knocking down Holyfield with an uppercut before launching a series of punches until the referee stops the fight.

This will definitely hurt the 58-year-old's pride, as he is used to giving out the punishment, rather than receiving it.

Several fans were also saddened to see Holyfield so helpless. One wrote: "Nah man I actually felt sick watching that."

Another said: "I'm just glad we didn't have to see him flat lined. He got roughed up but at least he didn't get knocked out cold."

There have been many who previously voiced their concern over Holyfield competing at the age of 58 and they've only reiterated those statements on seeing the fight itself.

One fan said: "No one told this man to fight. Its obvious he's looking for a payday but he's risking his health. Mike would rip him apart."

Exhibition fights always offer a huge sum of money, but Holyfield should definitely refrain from doing so.

Apart from denting his pride, it could also see him getting hurt pretty badly.
