"We should never underestimate the importance of female role models in sport and creating opportunities for young athletes to get close to them," the tennis coach said on Twitter.

Raducanu currently boasts an astonishing 50 percent Grand Slam success, having claimed a title in just her second ever major tournament.

The Brit is already a champion, despite only making her professional debut in June this year.

Because of her remarkable ascension, the Brit has now skyrocketed from 150th to 23rd in the WTA world rankings.
