The top 22 players on FIFA 22 have been officially revealed.
Bayern Munich goal machine Robert Lewandowski is the man who takes the silver medal for ratings on this year’s edition of FIFA, the Pole boasting a value of 92 – one higher than Ronaldo.
Kevin De Bruyne’s rating of 91 makes him the highest-rated Premier League footballer on the game, with both Harry Kane and N’Golo Kante coming in at 90.
The top 22 players on FIFA 22
Liverpool quartet Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Alisson Becker and Virgil van Dijk have seen their values reduced by one for FIFA 22, which was somewhat expected after the Reds’ sub-par 2020/21 campaign.
Kopites still won’t be happy, though, especially given that Salah – and to some extent Alisson – played pretty darn well for most of last season.
The fact Tottenham Hotspur’s Heung-min Son is rated the same as Salah will no doubt spark a lot debate.
Gianluigi Donnarumma is perhaps the most surprising name to feature in the top 22, although the young Italian goalkeeper did have an exceptional Euro 2020 campaign in the summer.
He was even named UEFA Player of the Tournament and it was also his heroics in the penalty shootout that helped Italy defeat England in the final at Wembley.
So maybe the muscular rating of 89 handed to him by the boffins at EA Sports is fully deserved after all.
